Re: fcid and zone

Hi,

If your zone membership is based on wwn, you need to correlate two outputs, "sh fcns data" and "sh zone name <>" to see what you are looking for.

Arthur# sh fcns da

VSAN 1:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

FCID TYPE PWWN (VENDOR) FC4-TYPE:FEATURE

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

0x020004 N 10:00:00:00:c9:23:a7:75 (Emulex) scsi-fcp

0x020005 N 10:00:00:00:c9:23:a7:a4 (Emulex) scsi-fcp

0x0201e8 NL 21:00:00:20:37:67:f7:a2 (Seagate) scsi-fcp

Total number of entries = 3

Arthur#

If your zone membership is based on interface or fcid, you see that in the sh zone active

Arthur# sh zone ac

zone name ZONE_D vsan 1

* fcid 0x0201e8 [interface fc1/2 swwn 20:00:00:05:30:00:5e:de]

zone name $default_zone$ vsan 1

* fcid 0x020005

* fcid 0x020004

Arthur#

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Hakan.

Re: fcid and zone

Yes, it works. But i guess port zone membership could be found into fcid. If i remember fcid addresse includes 3 parts:

domain, area, port.

Area part is used only on AL and I suppose area bits in switching fabric could be used for port zone membership description. Is it true?
