Fiber Channel Switch for DELL PV132T Tape Library

Hi all,

I hope I am posting this question on the right forum. If not, please let me know.

I am planning to purchase a DELL PowerVault 132T Tape Library (using LTO3) to backup data from multiple servers and I want to use fiber channel instead of SCSI.

I understand that I need to purchase a storage network controller for the tape library and fiber cards for the servers to be backed up.

However, I don't know what CISCO FC switch I need to buy in order for the tape library and all the servers (whose data is to backed up) to be jonined together.

Does anyone have any idea?

Probably the 9020. But you're asking a design/sales question that has alot of components that we are not privy to. Besides what switch to use, you will want to examine the certification matrix for the OSM that sold the HBA's and the Tape Library. What is your growth requirements? Do you need 4G or 2G or 1G?
