i-scsi performance

Hello,

i would like to know the maximum host number I could attache to a single Sn5428 ? I know that it is depending of the I/O but what is the practival average ?

And I want to know if the MDS9000 IP port is better than a SN5428 in term of performance ? Is is better to have lots of SN5428 or one big MDS900 ?

Re: i-scsi performance

Here's a white paper on SN5428 which gives you workgroup test results with 500-2500 concurrent users. This might help you plan accordingly.

The MDS 9000 family is aimed at lowering the total cost of ownership and delivers intelligent network services such as multiprotocol/multitransport integration, Virtual SANs (VSANs), comprehensive security, advanced traffic management, sophisticated diagnostics and unified SAN management. You check the product documentation for details.
