We have been running a mixed environment and upgraded our core firmware from 2.1.2d to 3.1.2. All ISLs remained up with our brocade 2800 but anything connected via an IVR appears to be broken. (Direct zoning appears to work) We have now downgraded back to 2.1.2a and found the problem has remained! Our other brocade 3800's are fine and all our cisco switches 9020/9120/9140/9216/9124 all appear fault free.

Probably not possible to solve this over the forum but since it doesn't work either OS, I would you built the IVR topology out too complex. So, this is one 9509 with one vsan to a 2800? Or does this vsan extend to the other switches? If so, do those other switches have IVR too so that there are multiple IVR boundry points? Or where the IVR zoneset inserts itself into a VSAN then that is propogated into another VSAN?
There should be some error messages indicating where and why there is a problem. Such as a CFS lock or which switch is not replying to the SFC etc
