Losing host connectivity to storage after moving from MDS-9124 to N5k
We are moving server connectivity from MDS-9124's to N5k-C5596UP's (OS version 6.0(2)N1(2). We have a Windows host server with a Hyper-V cluster of four virtuals. We currently have NPIV enabled on the MDS switch with separate zone definitions (in the same VSAN) for the host server and each virtual. NPIV allows them all on the same SAN port. After moving to the N5k (NPIV is enabled), the physical and virtuals all show SAN connectivity, but only the virtuals show connectivity to the XIV storage system.
Are there any other features on the N5k that need to be enabled; or should the zoning be set up differently?
