NTP problem in MDS9513

when using SAN OS 2.0.3 in 9509, I was able to Synchronize the time with external ntp server or other switch by setting the ntp server or peer.

Recently I got two new MDS9513, which are running SAN OS 3.0(3), I can not make them Synchronize with each other. Even though the other switch can be reached by ping, the log shows:

2007 Feb 19 12:47:10 OTPP_9513_SW1 %DAEMON-3-SYSTEM_MSG: ntp:sendto(::ffff:172.2

0.3.70): Network is unreachable

Any idea for this?

Please check to see if you have IPv6 enabled, looks like it is trying to send the NTP request to a IPv6 address of ::ffff:172.20.3.70.

How can I disable the IPv6? Everything is set by default.

It is probably a defect identified as CSCsg27664. If you issue a show ntp statistics and you see local interface as 7.0.0.0, then you are encountering this bug. If so, please put in a case with the OSM or Cisco TAC depending on your support model.
