Unable to move vsan and zone information accross a trunk

Folks,

I am new to MDS. I have 3 SAN switches (9516). I connected both of them using fc 1/7, i created vsans and zoneset on one switch, but was unable to propogate the information to the other switch. I enable EISL between the 2 switches on port fc 1/7? also when i type in "show fcs application" it shows me the vsan is disabled?

-------------------------------------------

Application Enabled Scope

ivr Yes Physical

ntp No Physical

dpvm Yes Physical

role No Physical

vsan No Physical

radius No Physical

syslogd No Physical

callhome No Physical

device-alias Yes Physical

Total number of entries = 9

How can i propagate vsan information and zoneset information accross fabric or switches?

Thanks

Re: Unable to move vsan and zone information accross a trunk

Make sure the same VSAN number is created on both switches. Make sure there are no zone member conflicts or domain ID overlaps.

Do not worry about the cfs output. The "vsan" in this context means cfs distribution of per vsan FC timers such as FS_TOV. You must be running an early 2.x release because we have since renamed this to "fctimer" under cfs apps.

Please see the Config Guide for more info, it is your best resource especially if you are new to MDS.
