Hi,
I am planning a SanOS upgrade on our (2) 9509's running 2.0(1b)
Before the upgrade I have to verify the new OS version release is supported by our storage interfaces.
Does anyone have advice/prior experience with upgrading that can give me some tips?
I have docs for upgrading the OS, but the firmware is all upgraded and handled on the storage servers, not on the 9509 right?
Thanks in advance!

I strongly recommend you talk to your disk storage vendor as each has a different support matrix for the various combinations of Cisco SAN-OS, server O/S, Disk Array firmware and HBA firmware/drivers.

Hi Brian,
Before upgrading the SNA OS, you need to make sure that the new SAN OS is supported by your storage vendor.
You can find the SAN OS- Storage Vendor compatibility information on the following URL.
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/ps4159/ps4358/products_device_support_tables_list.html
However, the information we have here might not be up to date, so it is suggested to check this with the storage vendor.
I would also check the caveats of of the new OS to know the open and closed problems in that release.
Here is for 2.1.2 :
