You can access the MDS over a VPN connection to access the management for for SSH, Telnet, Fabric or Device Manager, but the MDS itself is totally unaware of what VPN is or that it is, or is not, being used to access it.
We upgrade core switches yesterday to 3.3(3), but doesn't work yet. We see the end blade (WWN) in the FLOGI tag of the F-port connected to the N-port, but we cannot add them to any zone via FM. They doesn't appear in "zone by: WWN" and nothing appear in "zone by: NPV Virtual Port".
We don't know if the problem became becasue the edge switch is in a network (ethernet) that is unreacheable by the core switches (where run FM). We'll try to change this.
