Certifications Community Redirect to the Cisco Learning Network FAQ

Effective February 24th, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. (PST) all new discussion thread requests will be redirected to the Cisco Learning Network. The purpose of this document is to provide some insights and answer common questions related to this redirect.

Why is this change happening?

A. The Cisco Support Community  is an evolution  of NetPro, which was before the creation of The Cisco  Learning Network. As such, the community asked questions that were certification and training related within NetPro. Now Cisco Support Community  Members can take  advantage of the Cisco Learning Network Community to get responses to Cisco Certification and Training related topics. The Cisco Learning Network provides valuable and up to date information in the area  of Certifications and Training; therefore users can be better served by posting   directly into the community which is moderated by individuals who can answer your questions in a timely manner.

What is the Cisco Learning  Network?

A. The Cisco Learning Network was the next generation of the Certification Prep Center and the CCNA and CCNP Prep Centers. The Cisco Learning Network launched almost four years ago and is the Cisco Community dedicated to Cisco Certifications and Training. The site has social  networking, certification news, exam preparation content, games, blogs, discussion forums, study groups and more.

You  will log in with  the same password that is used currently, you will have the opportunity to create a unique username that is visible on all your posts that can be something other than your login. How does this impact me?

A. After February 24th, if you go to the Cisco Certifications or Training sections to start a discussion thread or post  a document in this area you will be redirected to the Cisco Learning Network Certifications page.  All other aspects of the Cisco Support Community will remain the same.

What will happen to the posts  that are currently there?

A. All posts before February 24th will remain in the Cisco Support Community;  they will still be open to updates. There are no plans to move the past  content to the Cisco Learning  Network. Any new questions will need to be  created on the Cisco Learning Network after that time.

Where can I learn more about navitating and posting questions on the Cisco Learning Network?

A. The Cisco Learning Network has online  tours that  you may view to familiarize yourself with the Cisco Learning  Network.
