Can client mode switch rewrite vlan database of a server switch?

If a client mode switch has higher vlan configuration revision number than the server switch in the VTP domain, will the server mode switch sync its vlan database to that of the client mode switch? or client still sync its vlan database to server's?

My understanding is client mode switch only receives and forwards VTP advertisements but not generate VTP advertisements with its own vlan information. So it only syncs to server's vlans.

A client will overwrite a server if the vlan database version number is higher than the current domain version . Something you have to be very careful about. To make sure this never happens change the domain name in the switch to something other than the installed domain name then change it back , this will effectively zero the version number .
