FAN PS-2 NOT Present

Hi NetPro,

i have noticed that the FAN PS-2 is not present , is that a way to resolve this ?

FAN 1 is OK

FAN 2 is OK

FAN PS-1 is OK

FAN PS-2 is NOT PRESENT

TEMPERATURE is OK

Temperature Value: 38 Degree Celsius

Temperature State: GREEN

Yellow Threshold : 46 Degree Celsius

Red Threshold    : 60 Degree Celsius

FAN PS-2 = The fan of Powersupply 2 is not present.

The reason that the fan of PS2 is not present is that the powersupply in slot 1B is not present.

So its a kind of stupid message telling you that the fan in powersupply 1B is not responding properly to an "I am ok" signal.

But how could it ? There is no powersupply in 1B. No powersupply=no fan installed, no fan installed = no "I am ok" signal.

so it is kind of a "bug" that it does not state "not installed"

I think it have something to do with that it would be hard to know if the PS-2 or the fan in PS-2 is not installed or just broken in a way that no signal is responded to.
