HSRP and WCCP

We are looking at a WAFS solution which would use WCCP to push CIFS traffic to a out of line box.

What are the implications of using WCCP on an HSRP pair? What happens when the pair changes states? Will WCCP get confused? Is it session based? Will the client need to restart their session with the content provider that WCCP is pushing to?
