Doing testing with "WS-C3850-12X48U-L" product. When I boot the ios image into the switch, I am getting "cisco>" prompt then after enabling it, it ask for the password. After giving password it comes to "cisco#" prompt. Now, I want to remove this password protection and want to get the "switch#" prompt. kindly, help for this.

Hi,
Please correct me if I understanding wrong the question, are you referring to the enable password?
Example
Cisco>enable
Password:
It could be removed it using:
conf t
no enable password
or
no enable secret

Hi
You are welcome :-)
To change the hostname of a device you can use:
conf t
hostname <new name>
example:
hostname Switch
Then you can save the configuration, executing:
Switch# write memory
Hope it is useful
:-)
