setting up loopback on my multilayer switch

Hi all, is it a good idea to do this for admin of my routers ? if I set it up, it wont take my router down for a second will it ?

Setting up a loopback won't interrupt service unless you are totally careless somehow. Many consider it to be a good practice because it is an address that will always be up so long as the switch is up, so there can be many ways to reach it, any several of which can fail without losing connectivity. Also, it is helpful when using some routing protocols (f.ex. OSPF) in that the router ID will be predictable.
