Hi,
I have a "Cisco 2-Port T1/E1 Protection Switching RAN Voice/WAN
Interface Card" and I am trying to get the ports into Data Carrier Detect (DCD) mode. The document indicated that the port is RJ-48C. The pins are as follows:
Pinout:
PIN1: RX Ring
PIN2: RX Tip
PIN3: Reserved
PIN4: TX Ring
PIN5: TX Tip
PIN6: Reserved
PIN7: shield
PIN8: Shield
So only pins 1,2,4 and 5 are used. However, I tried many cables, and the ports refuse to come up, when connected to each other.
We have the ALU SAR-8, and we are able to connect the RJ-48 cables without issue. Below is my configuration. Why won't the port come up? I have them in loopback diag mode, for now. Do I need a special cable?
