Bit rate limited to meet overall call bandwidth requirement

Hi all,

When we dial from MCU4501(4.4(3.57)) to Polycom Real Presence Desktop for Windows(2.3.0) on H.323 with no GK, Video bit rate is regulated as follows on the MCU (Home > Conferences > Conference name > Participant name > Statistics).

  Channel bit rate     1.87 Mbit/s

Receive bit rate     1.87 Mbit/s        (actual=75.8 kbit/s) ==> This is from the Polycom to the MCU

But when we dial from the Polycom to the MCU on H.323 with no GK, VIdeo bit rate is regulated as follows on the MCU.

  Channel bit rate     1.87 Mbit/s

Receive bit rate     1.10 Mbit/s        (actual=1.10 Mbit/s) ==> This is from the Polycom to the MCU

(Received bit rate is always about half of channel bit rate)

When we dial from Polycom at 2Mbps, Recived bit rate is around 1Mbps, and when we dial from Polycom at 1Mbps, Received bit rate is around 500kbps.

And "Bit rate limited to meet overall call bandwidth requirement" is displayed by moving over the "?" icon.

Why is this "Received bit rate" lowered only when we dial from this endpoint?

Hi all,

I opened SR and it turned out to be an interoperability problem (CSCui25321) that will be fixex in Ver.4.5.
