C60, TC3.5.3 & MS

All,

Got a customer who is running JITC TC3.5.3 on a C60, has the MS key installed, however we still cannot make MS calls, whats the deal?

Here are the current settings & or statuses:

xConfiguration Conference 1 IncomingMultisiteCall Mode: Allow

xstatus SystemUnit Software OptionKeys MultiSite: “true”

xstatus SystemUnit State MaxNumberOfCalls: 3

xstatus SystemUnit State MaxNumberOfActiveCalls: 3

Hi Justin,

Does the end customer see any error message on the screen like "Max calls has been reached"?

Was the MS feature working fine earlier on this unit or you have recently purchased MS license?

Mukesh,

No error messages, they dial the second endpoint and the first one goes on hold, then they can switch back and forth.  If they receieve a call while on with another endpoint it only asks them the following:

Accept & put current call on hold

Accept & disconnect current call

Decline call

Also, the just bought the MS key, so it was never working to begin with.

Check multiway config, disable it.

For normal ms call you will not get hold resume option and if ms key is not installed then 2nd call will connect as audio call. It looks multiply config is causing this issue. If config is ok then try factory reset.

I do not see anyway to disable MW, if I remember correctly as long as you had nothing in the 'address' field it was disabled...

This is all I see for MW:

NetworkServices

  MultiWay

    Address: Click to edit...

    Protocol: Auto

We did perform a factory reset with no help.

Is it possible to try software upgrade on this device to TC5.1.8 or TC6.1.2 version?

Customer does not appear to have a valid contract at this time, plus this will be a classified system so they will need JITC software.

Hi There

What is the codec's “MaxTotalRecieveCallRate” and “MaxTotalTransmiteCallRate” set to?

Also what is the default call rate set to.

Perhaps the first call is using all the allocated bandwidth and the codec will not accept any further calls.

I don’t know if the C codec’s automatically downspeed participants like the MXP systems did when adding multisite participants.

Also check the below settings.

Also with regards to the software version you should be able to claim a free software upgrade under the below security advisory notification from Cisco released 2 weeks ago.

TC3.0 software was one of the affected releases.
