Can an E20 running TE4.1 make 3-way conference when registered in a SIP PBX (ex: Asterisk)?

I tried transfer and hold, but i´m not sure if conf feature can be done...

Thanks

Any tips on tips on this?

Hi Elter,

Please have a look to administrator guide, it specify that we need to use multiway configuration to make conference call.

Here is the link for admin guide:

www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/endpoint/ip-video-phone-e20/te4/administration_guide/cisc

o_ip_video_phone_e20_administrator_guide_te41.pdf

On page 15, you will find complete detail about conference call.

You can use GUI or following command to configure multiway address:

xConfiguration SIP Profile 3 MultiWayConference : IP address of Multiway server

Thanks,

Vivek

Hi Vivek. Thanks.

I´m aware of Multiway, but what we need is to register the E20 only/directly to a SIP server (other than VCS o CUCM) like Asterisk and try to make a conf call, like any regular SIP phone or softphone.

regards

Elter,

I am not sure, whether it's going to work, i have to check.

Regards,

Vivek

Hi Elter

E20 dont have embedded multisite fot initiate 3-way conference.

For use multiway function you must have Cisco MCU and VCS.

Br. Oleksandr

Like Oleksandr already wrote, some endpoints do not offer multisite, like E20, C20, EX60, ...

But you still have the option to buy a MCU and also register asterisk to it or if this is

to costly get at least one endpoint which supports multisite (Edge, C40, EX90,...)

to run multiparty calls.

If you google a bit you will also find some basic capability of doing a switching multiparty

calls with asterisk, but this might require some work and an asterisk forum / mailinglist

would be a better place to address it.
