The Cisco remote control TRC6 is marketed as being for CE8, but does anyone know if it works fine with TC7? Specificially an SX20 running TC7.3.2.

Yes, the TRC6, TRC5, and even the older TRC4, can all be used - but only the "correct" remote is officially supported. There are functions that some remotes can do that others can't - so while the basic functionality can be done with all of the remotes, some of the other buttons are either not present (TRC6 only has very limited buttons) or will either not work, or bring up error messages (ie, using a TRC5 on a CE8 endpoint and pressing an unsupported button shows an error banner on the screen saying you should use a TRC6).

Hi
The TRC6 does not have the button-set to completely be able to control an SX20 so it is not supported. But if you ask if it will work, then yes for *some* functionality, but very limited. I would not recommend it at all.
