Cisco TelePresence Interoperability with Aethra endpoints

I was wondering if anybody from the community came across this issue already:

Cisco TelePresence MCU 4520 version 4.3(1.68)

Aethra endpoint X3
Product     Aethra Atlas 3000
Version     V10.2.14 Mon Jun 05 12:24:16 2

Aethra endpoint X5
Product     Aethra Vega X5
Version     V10.2.14 Mon Jun 05 12:19:46 2

Aethra endpoints connecting with H.323 to MCU

MCU port settings FullHD

When Aethra endpoint calls the MCU and is alone in the conference Tx/Rx is CIF/CIF at
25fps.
When a Cisco TP C60 set to 1080 joins the same conference Aethra resolution on the Rx goes
to XGA at only 6 fps.
If a Polycom HDX 720p is in the same conference with the Aethra endpoint the resolution is
as it should be CIF/CIF with 25 fps.

The MCU should not work in this way favoring sharpness instead of motion, because the
conference setting Motion / sharpness tradeoff is Favor motion.

I guess this is a bug in 4.3 and/or all previous version codes.

HI Mihail,

Interesting one , however I really doubt that this is an MCU bug   no offense but I'd rather suspect soemthing wrong on the Aethra side

Do you use the same conference layout when you join the Polycom device as wehn joining the C60 device ?

What happened with the badwidth for the Aethra endpoint when the C 60 joins the call ? does it drop down ?

Can you try the following settings from the MCU and let me know the results .

1. Video receive bit rate optimization - disable this one and let me know if you notice any improvemets

2. Video transmit size optimization - "none" this is theory would prevent this for happening , however I do not recomend using this as this will affect all the endpoints that are using this MCU
