My company is interested in doing Cisco Telepresence and i have the following questions with regard to certification in Telepresence.

below are some Telepresence exams for which we are about to write:

• TelePresence Video Sales Engineer for Express Exam               650-293             PATVSEE-----Individual A
• TelePresence Video Sales Engineer for Advanced Exam             650-296             PATVSEA---Individual A
• TelePresence Video Field Engineer for Express Exam                650-294             PATVFEE-----Individual B
• TelePresence Video Field Engineer for Advanced Exam              650-297             PATVFEA---Individual B

... what i want to know is whether or not we will be presented with a certificate after completion of the above exams.

Your company need to be invited to the ATP TelePresence Program. Up today, the options are: Express, Advanced, Advanced Plus and Master.

Based on the exams you posted, it should be the ATP TelePresence Video Express.

Thanks Very much Elter , for the clarification. However if  my company is not invited but have gone through the technical trainings can we still go ahead to write the exams ?

what we want exactly is to have a proof that we can implement Cisco Video Conferencing pending when we will be invited.

what is the validity period of the exams.

The ATP TelePresence Program is valid for 1 year. When the ATP application expires, it is not granted that the same exams will fullfill all requirements to renew. Up to now, they are the same as last year.

The exams for ATP Express and Advanced are related to the former Tandberg products. In last year we had a lot of improvements in products, versions and functionality, so, it is expected to have some changes in near future (not on roadmap yet as far as i know).

The exams 650-292, 650-293, 650-294, 650-295, 650-296 and 650-297 currently aren´t a career certification and are valid for 2 years. As you said, can be a proof of knowledge and help to speed up your application.

PS: To fullfil the ATP TelePresence Program, you will also need some demonstration equipments. You can talk to your PAM to buy them as part of the application.
