Hi Ben,

As a general rule for our users, we tell them to be within 2m of the microphone.

In field, the MIC can capture up to 7m radius of a person talking regularly. You need to check your device input level when in place (you can add gain in the codec).

The problem could be a background noise or different audio sources position

(ex.: a rectangle table and the MIC in the center will capture stronger sound from participants closer to the MIC).

In large rectangle tables you can use the 2m rule that Wayne mentioned (use more than one MIC if needed).

Hope it helps.

Dear Wayne,

would you mind explaining the term " within 2m of the microphone"? It is talking about diameter or radius?

Best Regards,

Benjamin

Hi Ben,

Our suggestion was the user should be no further than 2m away from the microphone - so, it'd be radius.
