HDD almost full on Tandberg Content Server V5.1

Hello Guys,

I have a question concernint TCS, we are running out of space on our Tandberg Content server

Looking on the TCS box, there are OGG files stored in E:\data\rtpdumps that appear to be some kind of ogg format media files
Are they required to exist for playing the WMV files in the data\media folder?
Should we be cleaning out the rtpdumps folder manually? The files are in total 40GB

Software Version: S5.1

thanks for your help;

Vincent

Hello Vincent -

In the rtpdumps folder, the OGG files are the raw media files for the recordings, do not delete them.  If you choose to later change the layout, or streaming options for any recording, the output that is re-transcoded with those changes you made will be generated using that raw media file.

Have you considered setting up your TCS with an external storage NAS that is sufficient in holding all the media files?  When using external storage with the TCS all the files contained in E:\data will be transferred to that external storage.  You can find more information about using external storage in the TCS admin guide, page 115.

Hello Patrick,

Indeed an external storage is probably the best solution for us.

Thank you for you advice.
