How to backup the local phonebook/favorite in the C-series or EX-series with TC5.0

Dear all,

I would like to know it there any method to backup the local phonebook/favorite in the C-series or EX-series with TC5.0. On the other hand, we have configurated the root account.

We have found the local phone are stored with FolderId (localGroupId-3).

xCommand Phonebook Folder Add

Add a folder to the local phonebook, where phonebook entries can be stored. Returns the FolderId (localGroupId-3), which is a unique Id of the folder.

However, we want to the exact location of the FolderId (localGroupId-3), also, is it possible to backup such file in case we need to have a RMA.

Best Regards,

Ben

How to backup the local phonebook/favorite in the C-series or EX

Hello Ben!

Thats the benefit on centrazlied phonebooks, maybe Cisco could implement user based

phonebooks which are still centralized stored ...

Anyhow, I see at least two options, you can use the admin account tsh and execute:

xcommand Phonebook Search

    PhonebookId: < 0="">

    PhonebookType:

    SearchString: < 0="">

    SearchField:

    Offset: <0..65534>

    FolderId: < 0="">

    Limit: <0..65534>

    Recursive:

Maybe you need to use recursive or other options to get all entries.

Besides that it might be easier to just use the root account and scp to download the local

phonebook file and copy it over to an other endpoint, its location is:

/config/pb.xml

Please rate the anwer using the stars below and set the thread to answered if it is.
