License migration from VCS to CUCM

Good day all,

I have a customer who is upgrading both their VC and UC environments and the plan is to move the Cisco VC codecs which are presently registered to VCS back to CUCM for a single call control platform. VCS C&E will remain for B2B video calling.

However there will be a requirement for additional TelePresence Room licenses for UCM 10.5.

Is there a program to migrate the CODECs to CUCM for customers with valid UCSS and ESW (and maintenance on the VCS C&E) without having to pay for new TelePresence Room licenses?

I *think* there is a promo coming in August to migrate endpoints from VCS to CUCM free of cost.

Hello Dana, Hello all,

I have same request for one of our customers.  We need to migrate few Video endpoints from VCS to CUCM.  Can you please advise how did you proceed and what kind of licenses are required on the CUCM.  Most of video endpoints are Profile P42/55/65.  Thanks
