MCU 4205 bug

Hi All,

I have found a serious bug in MCU 4205 sw 4.3(1.68)

So if I create a conference via TMS and add Polycom VSX 7000 (Release_ru 9.0.6.1) with Visual Concert connected and Tandberg MXP770(F9.0.1 PAL),then Codian freezes with high CPU utilization. In this period web interface is unavailable and sometimes Codian reboots.

I have found two  way to avoid this bug:

1.Mannauly add those endpoints to a conference and set in advanced interoperability parameters->content negotiation to slave,

2.Disconnect from Polycom Visual Concert station.

How to fix that?

I did a test using TMS, a Polycom VSX 7000 9.0.6.1 and a MXP 770 F9.0.1 and a Codian MSE 8510 MCU to see if the issues is present on other MCU’s running 4.3(1.68)

I had no issues on my side.

Does the Codian freeze as TMS connects the call or when you try send presentation from the Polycom?

It freezes when TMS start call.

Do you have Polycom Visual Concert connected to VSX7000?

When you made conference via TMS did you add Codian to conference manualy? usually TMS add Codians if there is more than 2 participants.

Our TMS is set to include the bridge in all calls.

Yes the Polycom unit has a visual concert connected.

Which VSX model are you using?

We have 7000a(9.0.6.1) and 7000e(9.0.5.1) and our firmares for Russia- w/o encryption.

Have you tried upgrading one VSX to 9.0.6.2

See if you get the same fault on a different VSX software release.

no, im note sure that it have sevice contract.

I was also reading through the release notes of 4.3(168) and under the interoperability table they tested with a Polycom VSX7000e 9.0.6.1 and found no issues, don’t know if the test included TMS and Visual concert though.

issue is only with PolycomVSX7000+ Tandberg MXP770, if only Polycom or only Tandberg MXP 770 everything is fine.

Also Codian freezes if add to one conference following endpoints:

Problem solved by switching off debug for H239.
