Outlook Scheduling Failure via TMSXE

Good afternoon,

I have a client with the following configuration:

1     TMS 14.2.1

2     TMSXE 3.1

3     Exchange 2007

They are having issues with booking recurring meetings from Outlook.  The Maximum Booking Window in both TMS and the Room Mailboxes is configured as 730 days, so they should be able to book recurring meetings without having to specify an end date when creating the meeting in their Outlook calendar.  I have carried out testing of recurring bookings and these are my results.

  • Monthly meeting with no end date will be created in TMS.
  • 14 day meeting with no end date will be created in TMS.
  • 7 day meeting with no end date will initially appear in the Room Calendar, but TMSXE will send an email stating that resource could not be booked and the meeting will be removed from the Room Calendar.
  • 7 day meeting with specified end date up to 23 months in the future will be created in TMS.

All meetings are booked using the same procedure; create new entry in client calendar and add room and participants.  Room calendar auto accepts and emails acceptance.  TMSXE only emails when declining a meeting.

TMSXE logs only show that a resource cannot be booked.

Any suggestions will be gratefully received.
