Problem with TMS

Dear Expert:

I am trying to add a VCSC to the TMS (12.6)

I got the following warning:

Host Name Mismatch - The Host Name configured in TMS () does not match the Host Name configured on the system (nete2mgvcsc). When the configuration has been corrected, force refresh the system in TMS.

How I can I fix it?

Can any expert suggest a document for how to do the CDR and phone book ?

I read the document come with the TMS CD and from the web.

They just have a brief description on those topic...

Will there be document with practical sample?

Thank you!

Did you add your VCS on TMS by using VCS IP address?

Do you have host A-record in “Host Name” under “Connection” Tab of that specific VCS?
If this field is empty (if VCS add on TMS by suing VCS IP address, this field should be empty in default), please add host A-record and see if that remove “Host Name Mismatch” warning message.

Go to “Systems” then select this VCS from list (or you can use search feature on TMS).

Click “Connection” tab then check “Host Name:” field.

After you add host A-record, please make sure you click “Save/Try”.

Once successfully add it, please click “Summary” tab to check warning message.

BTW, if you add VCS on TMS by using host A/AAAA-record, this specific field automatically added during system registration.

Hello there.

I'm assuming that you set it up correctly, so that could be issue with DNS.

Please verify that you can ping and do nslookup for VCS for TMS servers and from TMS for VSC.

Make sure names are resolved and matching on TMS/VCS. If not you need to check A records on your DNS server.

Regarding configuration please check this document: http://www.tandberg.com/collateral/documentation/User_Manuals/D13741_TANDBERG_Management_Suite_12_6%20Admin%20guide.pdf

To be honest 12.6 is quite old version and I would strongly recommend you to upgrade TMS to latest 13.2.

Hope that helps!
