Root Access to TC7.2 devices

With the upgrade to TC7.2.0 on my SX and EX units, I find that the procedure I used to use no longer works.

In the past to get the device's favorites and share them from device to device, I could enable root access and then pull and push a directory file to the unit.

Now, there is a new remotesupport account that is created with a key that only Cisco TAC can decode to get the password to connect to the unit.

I will not ask who's bright idea this was but it is not acceptable.

Is there a work around to fix this?

Only way possible is you must contact TAC to gain access to that account, no other workarounds.  Believe me, all of use that support these devices, feel your pain.

The only work around I can see for your issue is to use the web interface to manage the phone books, it would be a bit tedious as you can't do a large batch as you can through root, you'd have to do them one at a time.
