Serial control of Profile monitors

Bob Fitzgerald

Hello!

I've had this question asked of me a few times in the last month.  Integrators are asking for the API commands for the monitors that come with Profile systems, primarily for on/off.  I have been told in the past that the monitors that come with the Profile systems are special for Cisco and are not controllable serially.  I just want to make sure I'm telling people the right thing.

Also, they ask me who is the monitor manufacturer?

Thanks!

Hi Bob,

Yes, You are right these are specially designed monitors for profile system .

You can use following commnad from codec to switch off / on ( standby mode).

xcommand Standby Activate

OK

*r ActivateResult (status=OK):

** end

xcommand Standby deActivate

OK

*r DeactivateResult (status=OK):

** end

There is a serial port on the display which is used for diagnostic purpose, There is a tool call TM control used for it .

If you need this toll let me know I can send you .
