SIP TLS not always used between Cisco/Tandberg endpoints

Hello,

I'm testing SIP TLS with 3 different types of endpoints and an 4510 MCU (v4.5)

VCS-Control X.8.2.1

2 are C90 codecs with TC7.1.4

1 is a MXP1700 with F6.1

No certificates deployed on the above devices

All calls to MCU in SIP and H.323 from above endpoints are correctly encrypted.

Calls between the C90 codecs also encrypt correctly

But a call between the MXP170 and one of the C90 codecs never encrypts. I see the initial call goes to port 5061 but when the call is established it is not encrypted.

What could be the reason for this?

rgds, Geert.

I would first upgrade the 1700MXP to F9.3.3 which is the latest version before I looked at anything else.

The problem is the MXP1700 is EOL and there's no maintenance coverage on it. So not possible to obtain the keys for upgrade.
