Can someone please tell me where I can find the Floor Control options on a SX20 Codec?
We use this quite regularly on our MXP95s but can't find it on the SX20 and are needing the end user to be able to set which remote endpoint (in a multi-site call) is shown in the prominent position.

Hey Wayne,
Floor control on TC devices is not supported at this point. You might need to raise a feature request for it. You could change the layouts as Jens mentioned. But setting far endpoint in Prominent position could be only achieved using Active Speaker where the endpoint speaking will be shown in the view.

You have to use the "Layout" function for this.
See the user guides:

Hi folks,
When connecting to a Cisco Telepresence MCU, SX20 is able to "take floor" by using DTMF sequence. You can send DTMF information to MCU and request floor, then SX20 will be shown in the proeminent position for all other participants.
This same concept is applied to another endpoits as well, not only to SX20. For example, this is a print screen from Jabber client requesting floor via DTMF, take a look:
That menu is shown when you press when you send * to MCU, so you can send number keys via DTMF to navigate int he menus. In this menu you can request floor, mute audio, change layout, see participants, increase border and so on.
To enable this menu in the MCU, you need to configure the conference and set the parameter "Floor and chair control" to Allow floor.
I hope this help.

Thanks All.
Sounds like we can't do what we did with our MXPs on an SX20 then as we cannpt assign the floor to a particular participant, ie
Endpoint A would make a multi-site call to Endpoint B and Endpoint C (a recording alias on our Content Server)..
Endpoint A would then use the Floor Control to Assign the Floor to Endpoint B.
Endpoint A and the Recording (Endpoint C) would then see Endpoint B always as the Prominent participant. We don't want it to voice switch between A and B on the recording.
If anyone has any bright ideas on how we can achieve something similar using the SX (with a remote control, not a touch panel) that'd be appreciated. Needs to be simple for the end-users to perform themselves.
Thanks.
Wayne

This worked perfectly for a sign language teacher who loved the floor control button on the
Edge 95. She can move into the C40 that has been purchased for the room. Thanks again for posting the solution.
