sx20 hdmi to dvi converter

I used an EXPbrand HDMI to DVI converter to connect to an SX20. In running moninfo all of the edid data was correct but no image on the SX20. In trying a different pc same thing, tried resolutions of 1024x768, 1280x720, etc no difference. Third PC on dvi direct works. But which brand of converter works? I need audio as well the dvi video.

Try checking the refresh rate of the video you are trying to input to the codec as well as the resolution.

You may also have to try to tell the codec manually whether to expect digital or analogue input on the DVI port - in the web interface - Configuration, Video, Input DVI2, Type = AutoDetect/Digital/AnalogRGB/AnalogYPbPr), or xconfiguration video input dvi type: AnalogRGB/AnalogYPbPr/AutoDetect/Digital.
