Hi All,

We have recently implemented a Cisco Telepresence SX20 with NPP included.

Our client would like to share documents from a laptop/PC on the same LAN as the Telepresence LAN.

The NPP described that we can use VNC to perform the above but client was not able to make it work.

VNC Server was installed on laptop and laptop can communicate with SX20, however, when PC is selected in the Presentation source, client gets "no signal"

Grateful if anyone can assist on the above.

Selecting the PC source for the presentation on the SX20 shows whatever is connected via the DVI input.  There is no way to do this via VNC on an SX20 like you could on the older MXP codecs.

Should someone want to share documents without using any cable, how can he do same?

Is there any other options?

Without additional hardware, no, you can't do that.

if you use a remote desktop to a connected PC, or an Intel WiDi device, or Apple TV, or similar other components, you can achieve something similar.

Where did they read that?  Sounds like they misunderstood the purpose of NPP, it's just mean to allow a user to share content via a connected computer via a cable to the codec.

None of the Cisco codecs don't have a VNC feature, the last codecs that had that to my knowledge that had that capability as Wayne stated were the TANDBERG MXPs.
