TC7.0 blocking iframes for TelePresence VC

Does anyone know how to bypass or allow iframes for Cisco TelePresence SX20, C40 using TC7.0

We were able to display snapshots using iframes on TC5.1 but it's now no longer working with TC7.0

Any help is greatly appreciated. Maybe there's a way to re-enable this setting on the web server of the VC unit?

One easy (but not necessarily secure) way is to add the credentials in to the URL, ie:

http://username:password@x.x.x.x/websnapshot/get

The refresh can be done within the HTML HEAD element, ie to refresh every 30 seconds:

From TC6 the path for the websnapshot changed from /wsgi/translation to /web/translation.  That may be your issue.

Edit: Sorry, the above was for the touchpanel snaptshots... the websnapshots are at /websnapshot/get

Note: the websnapshots must be enabled on the device - I've seen the odd one or two loose this setting following an upgrade and it having to be re-enabled on the device.

Re: TC7.0 blocking iframes for TelePresence VC

Thanks for your reply Wayne.

I did notice that the URL was changed from wsgi to web however the login page still does load in an iframe.

Debugging using Chrome Dev console I get:

Refused to display '

http://xxx.xxx.xx.xx/web/signin?next=/web/call

' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'DENY

Is there a reason you're going to that URL ant not just directly to "http://xxx.xxx.xx.xx/websnapshot/get" for the snapshot?

Wayne,

That was just an example to get the X-Frame-Options.

The same thing happens when going to websnapshot/get or any url on the VC:

Refused to display 'http://xx.xx.xx.xx/websnapshot/get' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'DENY'.

Re: TC7.0 blocking iframes for TelePresence VC

The reason why we are using iframes is because we want to include several snapshots on the one page.

I've done similar, but just used a table of the images from /websnapshot/get (and refresh the page very 30 seconds) - lots of:

  http://XXX.XXX.XX.XX/websnapshot/get" WIDTH="320" HEIGHT="180" BORDER="1">

Never thought of using the IMG tag.

That is a winner. How did you automatically authenticate to the VC unit and refreshed the page?
