Telepresence Conference call timeouts

Hello

We have a project culminating to a "go live" date. I was aked

if it is possible to start and keep a Video Conference call open indefinately for the duration (12-18 hours)

during the go live. Possibly up to 12 participants.

We have a 12 port bridge

We have an internet pipe burstable to 50Meg

Does anyone know of any complications that would arise?

Are there an session timeout defaults or values that need to be disabled or modified?

Hi Steve,

if you could provide more information regarding your setup, you would get guidance from the forum. info such as:

- Type of endpoints with software version

- HD or SD conference

- Type of MCU/TP with software version

- Are participants are on the same LAN or coming from ISDN and internet domain?

- VCS (control and express) software version

- A network diagram of platform

- Is there firewall involved here? (sometimes there are timers enable on firewall that shutsdown the ports)

- is there Bandwidth limitation defined on VCS zones and subzone?

etc. etc.

But in short, there is no time limitation on conferencing units unless you define one there.
