Short answer is: Conductor is

Short answer is: Conductor is used to manage Telepresence server and MCU. The conductor will do resource pooling, conference failover amongst other things. It also helps with Optimized conferencing. The Telepresence server and MCU have different functionalities but fundamentally they are conference bridges. Why would you have Telepresence server and MCU depends on what the customer was looking to do and will be difficult to comment on.
