Just out if curiosity, why do you ask and where do you see a difference?
The TPS XML api uses http(s):
Transport protocol
The device implements HTTP/1.1 as defined by RFC 2616[2]. It expects to receive communications
over TCP/IP connections to port 80 (default HTTP port) or port 443 (default HTTPS port).
Your application should send HTTP POST messages to the URL defined by path /RPC2 on the device'sIP address, for example https://10.0.0.53/RPC2.
You can configure the device to receive HTTP and HTTPS on non-standard TCP port numbers if necessary, in which case append the non-standard port number to the IP address.

Thanks Martin for your response.
I had already read the Api guides but refers to a generic application. I heard about some interesting features, that will released with the next ts software, via "admin web interfaces" or via "ts api" and I don't understand very well if they will be available by tms also.

TMS evolves as the other products do. Some features find their way into TMS quite fast, some need more time.
If you have specific needs in combination of TMS and MCU I would recomend to file a feature request.
