TMS backup Clarification?

Hi All,

  • •1. If TMS crashes ,after reinstalling the software from scratch

Can we restore the system configuration without having to manually re-configure everything?

  • •2. SQL server may have standard backup at the database level. But application has more configuration data/items than database. (e.g registries, xml files, control files etc.) .Those apparently can’t be backed up by MS SQL server ?!

As per my knowledge SQL Server stores TMSNG and TMSPE. please clarify the above two questions.

Thank you,

Regards,

Siva

Everything is self contained in the TMS and TMSPE databases, aka tmsng and tmspe...meaning as long you have the databases or backups of the databases, your good to go ;)
