I am attempting to add a new C60 to TMS. It finds the system by IP address, but then I get,
Could not connect to system. Details:Wrong username or password |
I am using username admin, and the correct admin password for both "password" and "admin password" fields(which works for all my other endpoints.
(why are there 2 password fields anyway? Is one of tehm supposed to be teh Menupassword?)
I tried entering teh menupassword as "password" and teh adminpassword as "admin password", but get the same results.
I have gone into teh C60 thru telnet and reset both menupassword and adminpassword, and still I get this error.

Hi Andy,
is your C60 have http/s disabled ? because TMS would explore and manage devices use HTTP and SNMP

Hi Ahmad:
I have http and SNMP enabled. I have tried it with https enabled, and also with it disabled.
Same result.

Hi Andy
What TMS version are you on. And what software is the endpoint on? I remember a bug with some of the earlier version regarding something similar. If your able to add the other endpoints successfully what is the difference between those endpoints and the c60?
Network wise?
Configuration?
You could do a wireshark trace when trying to add the C60 and then purge and re- add a known working endpoint and compare. That might tell you more details of whats going on. If needed you can raise a tac case if you need assistance with the comparing. It might be that the c60 trace it self reveals the issue.

Hi Magnus:
C60 is on TC4.1.0.247017, and TMS is 13.1.
I have searched to see if I coudl find any difference between this C60 and the other C-series endpoints, with no luck.
Wireshark may be a good idea.
Thanks,
PS, do you know why the TMS setup screen(when I go to "ADD SYSTEMS", and click on ADVANCED") lists both
"password" and "admin password" fields? Is one of them supposed to be the Menupassword, and the other adminpassword?)

Hi
I dont remember from the top of my head, i'm not in the office atm, but if you go to add systems where those password fields are located and press the questionmark to the far right of the top menu it should provide a description if you navigate to the correct section.
Hope that helps

Thanks Magnus, but this is a case whereteh "Helpe" is of no help. It basically rehashes what I see on teh screen:
"Enter Username, Password and/or an Admin Password if the systems require it in order to be added."
