TMS Provisioning Extension

Hi,

does someone have a documentation on how TMSPE works and where the info is stored (if it is not OpenDS)?

Thanks

Re: TMS Provisioning Extension

Hi Elter

Its not opends. Opends will still be an option but you can now choose (once the extension has been installed) the TMSPE. Its stored in SQL. Same as the TMS database. So in addition to TMSNG you have a separate database called TMSPE.

Unfortunately documentation will not come out to the public before the release which is estimated to be not long after easter. However no commitment is made at this point.

Re: TMS Provisioning Extension

Thanks Magnus.

Do you know what will be used in VCS (Linux) to syncronize thi SQL info?

In legacy Provisioning there was an OpenDS inside the VCS, without an option to select who is the Master. Do you know this kind of detail? usually this kind of info is not on the deployment guides.

I´m specially interested in HA environments (two or more TMSs active/active and a cluster of VCSs).

Thanks again

Re: TMS Provisioning Extension

Hi Elter,

In the new provisioning model the TMSPE communicates to cluster DB (SQL) exists on VCS over a HTTPS link.

Also with the new provisioning model

•If VCS in cluster configuration, TMS export DB to one of VCS in Cluster VCS and DB replicate within cluster VCS.

•TMS automatically chose one of VCS (highest SN VCS within cluster VCS) to export DB.

Hope this calrifies.

Thanks
