TMS & VCS Calls License Tickets

Hey all,

How can I get TMS to send me an email when a VCS submits a 'Resource Limit' ticket to TMS?  I see the 'System Resource' event under Event Notification Levels, but when I go to Event Notification Manager I cannot choose this as an event type to subscribe to.

Thanks,

Justin

Hi Justin,

Starting with TMS 12.5, the TMS Ticketing Service had been enhanced to allow devices to report and control the opening/closing of their own ticket types within TMS. This means more ticket types and more detailed diagnostics from systems are available. The new ticket types are integrated seamlessly into the existing ticketing system and required no additional controls or configuration by the administrator. The VCS was an initial adopter of this enhanced ticketing service. Unfortunately, these additional ticket types when thrown from the VCS to the TMS don't send you an email, e.g. like the event notifications do and why you don't see it. You have to be in TMS so has to see the ticket.

At any rate, and if it's something you'd like to see put into the product, then I'd recommend sending in an enhancement request.

cheers,

Dale

I submited a feature request for this a while back but nothing has happened. Could anyone who would find this useful submit a request add their voice to this thread please?

Thanks!
