Upgrading VCS X6.1 to X7.2

Hi,

I was looking around and could not find a good upgrading guide?

Can anyone share with me the procedure of upgrading the VCS?

We have 2 unclustered VCS and 1 cluster with 2 VCS. I also know that we need to uncluster the VCS cluster in order to perform the installation. How do I uncluster a VCS cluster?

CAUTION: If you are upgrading a cluster, you must follow the directions in the X7.2 “Cluster Creation and Maintenance” Cisco VCS deployment guide (document D14367), otherwise the cluster will not synchronize.

Hi,

Please go through the upgrade guide pointed by Magnus. But please do not forget two important steps before upgrading

- clear the TMS agent replication properly and check the actiivtiy status under the TMS till the point it says 100% event successfull. if any error appears please try to get rid of it first before upgrading

- before performing backup run this command from the root prompt on the VCS.

  mkdir /tandberg/persistent/oti

  mkdir /tandberg/persistent/management

after that perform the backup.
