VCS "Flow Failed" error

Hello,

I have two SX20 registered in a VCSControl.

When i call from one SX20 to another (both registered to this same VCSControl), the call isnt completed and at VCS (Search History) i see a "Flow Failed" error..

Does anyone know what kind of misconfigurations is "Flow Failed" about?

VCS "Flow Failed" error

Hi Jose,

i believe this you are seeing on SIP call? right.  And do you have this VCS in a cluster? if i remember it correctly i seen this issue one time but that was for TPS server..

anyways to my understanding it is related to registration of the endpoint on VCS.

its SIP, and isnt in a cluster

yes, Looks like its something with the registration.. when i go to "Registration - By device/alias" i see 4 registration from this device, when it was to be registered only one

What is your transport protocol, SIP/TCP(5060) or TLS(5061)?

Does it make a difference if you use the other one (for both endpoints in a call).

Smells like a firewall issue, check for Layer 3 features (ALG, Inspection, helper, ...) and session timeouts.

Also remember, you are using a VCS-C so NAT is not supported.

IF you need to debug futher let us know more about your telepresence and network deployment,

incl. version numbers running on active components.

Hi Jose,

can you turn off TLS and use tcp and see if it makes any diff? Also as martin said are you using any NAT on VCS control?

Also can you attach the output of xhistory logs from vcs i would like to see that.

VCS "Flow Failed" error

Hello Jose,

I would take TCP Dumps on the VCS While tryign to replicate the issue.

SSH In the VCS as Root and Type the following :

tcpdump –s0 -i any -w/tmp/UCHTEST1.pcap

This will start the capture.

Replicate the issue.

Hit Ctrl+C.

Use WIN SCP Program to login as root into the VCS.

Look for the UCHTEST1 file under TMP Folder on the VCS.

Copy over to your desktop.

Please attach it here so that we could review it.

Thanks,

Riz

Jose,

Also try to unregister the endpoints from the VCS and re-register them with same or different alias just for testing pourposes.

Let us know what the outcome is.

Thanks,
