VCS Trunk/Zone Utilization

Hi,

We have 3 VCS Control devices that have been neighboured to each other. Each VCS also has a SIP trunk to Cisco Call Manager. Is there a way to check the utlization of this SIP trunk and also the utlisation of each of the neighbour zones created on VCS from either VCS or TMS?

Regards,
Zeeshan

Thanks Andrey. The procedure describes Configuration of Trunk Utliization reports on CUCM. Do we have anything similar that we can do on VCS?

Hi Zeeshan,

not atleast on the VCS i am aware of. from TMS also you can get CDR but it won't give you  a turnk utilization report.

but it does goes as a good feature request.!!  don't know if any one has a workaround for it

cheers

Hi Zeeshan!

What exactly do you want to see and how userfriendly does it need to be?

If you can programm and know a bit how to handle xml, you can use the xstatus of the VCS, you will find the

bandwidth utilization in a variable and you can add up the call items.

If a 5 min probe interval is fine you could use for example mrtg to show the values.

Here is an example for a zone with one call with 512 bit active, this exists for each zone you have.

Check the admin guide regards the xstatus and api capabilities.

But besides that, please file a feature request for better CDRs, from the VCS and from TMS,

thats really a limiting factor.
