If we are using Poycom CMA desktop in internal network call is conecting succussfully with URL and Public IP .

Please suggest the solution for the same,

Hi Renji,

since you mentioned you are using single interface deployment of VCS-C and VCS-E , can you tell us which ip you pointed the traversal client to?

in single interface deployment the vcs-c traversal zone should point to NAT'ed ip of VCS-E.

can you check that ? Also check if you have any packet inspection H.323/SIP on firewalls ?

Regards

Alok

Hi Alok,

Thanks for your replay i ahve pointed VCSE private IP for the Traversal zone in VCS,also i have disabled the packet inspection for the SIP in firewall.

Renji,

you should point the VCS-C to NAT'ed ip-address of VCS-E in single nic deplyoment with static nat. you also should have a "dual interface option key" installed on the VCS-E so that you can configure the static NAT ip-address on VCS-E.

check the below guide appendix 4.

Hi Alok,

You mean the natted Public IP address we have to point insted of the VCSE private IP,

Aslo without

dual interface option key we cant able to make the call from outside?

REgards

Renji,

yes that's how the deployment is for single nic. You need to point VCS-C to ANT'ed ip.

and you also have to uploade the "dual nic option key" on VCS-E and then you can configure the VCS-E Nate'd public ip on the ip-address details page.

Hello Alok,

As we informed earlier

If we are using Poycom CMA desktop for calling from internal and external call is conecting succussfully with URI and Public IP ,only problem with polycom real presense desktop and jabber clients.

Call is connecting but there is no audio and video.can you please suggest how its working polycom CMA desktop from internal and external network

Thanks

Renji,

i am not expert on polycom but is your polycom CMA desktop registered to VCS-C ?

regards

Alok

Hello Alok,

Polycom CMA desktop is not registered in VCS-C,

If we are configuring Public IP address for the VCSE it will work every thing?

Only problem the calls are connecting through public IP address ,If we are using URI dialing call is connecting but there is no audio and video, also we can see in VCSE logs.

Since the polycom CMA is not registered so obviously it will behave diferently.

in case if you do not want to go for "dual nic option key" then yes you can put the pubic ip on VCS-E and it should work.

Alok

That is how we have our Expressway setup, it has a public IP, that has the necessary ports open, we're not using the second NIC.

Quick question, is your Expressway a single VCS or is it a cluster?

Hello Friends,

Sorry for the late replay,

Express way is a single .there is no cluster.

We can configure the public IP address for VCSE it will work every thing Eg: Jabber, other VC endapoints.?

Thanks

Renji,

yes, ideally should work.

Alok
