What is best practice? Multiple Multisite MCU Conferencing
We currently have two independent sites, each with their own MCU (MCU 8500 and a MCU 4505), multiple endpoints, VCS-ExpressWay and management (TMS) infrastructure. Currently we create a conference in each site, which has the MCU from the other site as a participant. This is not ideal as we get multiple pictures-in-picture, especially when using a 7+1 split format for each MCU.
What is the ideal way to handle this? The options I can think of are:
Have all endpoints call one MCU instead of using both.
Use a full screen format instead of 7+1 split.
Does placing all the VC infrastructure in to the one TMS gain anything?
