Job Event not Triggering Correctly

I created a Job Event that will email a mailbox when an Adhoc job is inserted into the schedule.  The Event Trigger is 'Job added to schedule on demand'. I go to insert the job for that day and it works without issue.  When I try to insert the job for a furture date nothing happens.  Any ideas?
