7940, MWI from a "hotline" or ACD

Scenario:

Subscriber is assigned ext 4001. They are also a member of an ACD group that will ring their phone in the group. ACD Group number is 4500. If the no subscriber picks up the ACD 4500, can an MWI light show up on multiply phones for the "group" mailbox. I don't think you can do an MWI on multiple phones, but not sure.

Thanks

In Unity, under the subscriber profile messages section you can add up to 10 extensions to light for MWI. Just add rows and fill in extensions to light up for MWI. A 'X' (default) means to light the extension assigned to the subscriber but this can be changed to any number. You probably don't want this since 4500 (the group mailbox) isn't a real phone on the call manager with a lamp to light up.

You can assign alternate extensions to the subscriber to achive this.

Hi -

If the ACD extension appears on the IP phone, you can adjust the Message Waiting Lamp policy in CallManager for this. The default policy is only to trigger MWI for the primary line. On the Line settings for the DN, you can change the System Policy to say Light and Prompt. The prompt is the envelope icon that appears next to the DN when new voicemail is available.
